Chien Noir is an adorable cottage on a peaceful five acres. This is a pet friendly two bedroom, one bath cottage with a fully equipped kitchen, gas range, washer and dryer. The cozy living area with matching recliners has a propane stove to keep you warm as you settle in with your favorite book or watch netflix on the TV.
Out on the large deck, listen to the birds in the trees and watch the butterflies flutter about while gazing at the beautiful Olympic Mountains. Plenty of space to wander around the property and play yard games, you can even munch on an apple or two in season.
Chien Noir is perfectly located for day trip adventures. With easy access to Highway 101, spend your days hiking in the Olympic National Park, or beach combing on one of our many beaches dotting the coastlines. Cyclists and runners will love being within minutes of the Olympic Discovery Trail and its miles and miles of breathtaking scenery. Enjoy walking through one of the many fragrant Lavender Farms that dot the Sequim valley, playing a round of golf at Cedars Dungeness or hiking the Dungeness Spit to the historic Dungeness Lighthouse.

Around 10 Minutes from Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, a well-loved area for walking along the sandy beach. For the super-fit, walk 11 miles round trip to visit the lighthouse.

Lovely setting
We stayed several nights at Chien Noir and have no complaints at all. It was a very private location with apple trees and no nearby neighbors. The house itself was nicely laid out, with a large enough kitchen that was well-stocked. The "living room" was a little funky with 3 overstuffed chairs, but we were three people, so no problem. That room also was heated through an enclosed gas heater, so it was visually comforting too. The bedrooms were also large enough, and the bathroom was roomy with a new, clean, and big shower. There was a TV screen in the main bedroom's closet, and I think it only received Netflix. It would have been an awkward watching situation for more than 1 or 2 people, but we never turned it on. We appreciated the large washer/dryer in the bathroom. Our weather was surprisingly clear, so we were able to see the mountains from the deck. Take your slippers because the floors are cold, but if that's the worst problem we had, I'll take it any time. The management company was easy to deal with and they were quite friendly and helpful. We look forward to going back in the spring or summer.

Very adorable, with beautiful views. I loved the country charm and gorgeous flowers
The home is quaint with gorgeous Mountain Views. It was very quiet and private. We used the bbq often and the patio chairs to look at the mountains. My only complaint is the internet not working. They did offer to replace the router though. Overall, we absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommend this to a small family that enjoys lots of room to runaround. We didnt have a dog, but it would also be a great property for brining your furry friend.

Perfect fit for our little family. We wanted to "get away" and this was absolutely perfect. Newly renovated and lots of property gave us tons of privacy and we definitely got away from our normal day to day. The view of the mountains was stunning.

My sister-in-law and I stayed at Chien Noir for four days last week. Everything about this little jewel was comfortable, attractive, and convenient. Someone did a fabulous job renovating this home. We liked being out in the country where all was quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was very well equipped, which was important to us as we prefer to eat "in". We soon found our way around to the beaches and parks where we could run around to our heart's content, and then return to our sanctuary in the evening to recover. We need to plan another trip to Chien Noir!
